山田祐基 / YAMADA YUKI
Born on November 11th, 1989.
In 2012, Yamada graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Design and joined Dentsu Inc.
While working as an art director of an advertising agency, he continues own creations on the theme of water, light, and unconsciousness between people and nature.
"Jugazo (piled self-portraits)", a sequence of daily self-portrait, has become his lifework.
He is fascinated by the southernmost manned island of Japan, "Haterumajima", and visits the island on every holiday to work on art production and familiarize with the island's unique culture.
He publishes works on various media, including at "Hateruma Exhibition" in Kyoto, which he hosts every summer since 2015.
He explores the south in pursuits of his roots.
